Senior HR Generalist

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead human resources business processes for a moderately complex organization or multiple functions and be responsible for the improvement, deployment, and effectiveness of a broad range of Human Resources processes across the functional business.

About the role:

Working in close collaboration with the managers and employees to resolve issues and concerns, you will be providing staffing and recruiting support, evaluating structure, making the job design and headcount forecasting, and other people data analysis and implementing tactics to select and maintain a diverse workforce. You will also be:

  • Resolves conflicts and provides coaching and counseling on human resources matters for individuals or groups and leads performance management activities, including employee development planning.

  • Facilitates compensation process and benefits administration by partnering with shared services and corporate human resources; develops and implements workforce compensation recommendations.

  • Conducts and documents investigations for business areas or corporate functional areas.

  • Manages the administration of and adherence to human resources policies and procedures; advises organizational and functional leadership on compliance with key legislative requirements.

  • Ensures the accuracy and completeness of workforce information in human resources information systems.

  • Conducts and documents investigations for business areas or corporate functional areas.

  • Leads training needs assessments and participates in training activities and special projects.

  • Participates in initiatives to improve the overall effectiveness of human resources processes; leads specific improvement initiatives.

  • Creates employment contracts as required by local law or practice.

  • Coaches and mentors less experienced human resources generalists.


About you:

You will ideally have Human Resource Management background and experience within a manufacturing, logistics, and/or Supply Chain Management environment, however, if you enjoy and can evidence a high level of HR Business Partnering, attention to detail, resiliency, and strong communication skills along with an interest in being part of a global organization, we’d love to hear from you. Here are some of the other skills and competencies we’d like you to have:

  • BA and/or MA degree in Human Resources, Business, or other related field.

  • Extended experience in the HR domain and HR administration.

  • Strong knowledge of Belgium's Labour legislation.

  • Experience in managing labor issues within manufacturing/logistics domains with 300 headcounts;

  • HR Business Partnering experience, stakeholder management skills, and experience in working with Unions;

  • Experience in payroll management (salaries & C&P);

  • Data-driven mindset: experience in working with HR-related data (Excel)

  • Ability to work autonomously as well as together with the team.

  • Fluency in Dutch and English, as these are our main business languages used on the site.
