If you are driven and motivated to become part of a dynamic team, we have an opening for a Payroll Analyst in Pointe-Claire, QC .
Reporting to the Canada Payroll Leader , you will administer and participate in payroll processing activities for various payroll groups including the preparation, processing and balancing of payroll.
Your responsibilities may include:
Ensure all information received from data interfaces and manual data sources is uploaded to the system without error.
Utilize internal or external payroll technologies for payroll processing activities.
Administer and process payroll according to internal procedures.
Ensure payments are calculated and paid accurately and timely; ensures proper calculation of taxes and deductions.
Provide customer support, including any off-cycle or replacement payments needed.
Review the information prepared for general ledger entries and other accounting and financial reporting activities associated with payroll.
Participate in the review and preparation of data necessary for the filing of payroll related tax returns and miscellaneous withholding forms.
Complete year end process including year end adjustments, year end tax statements and review of year end tax filing information.
Serve as an internal and external resource on payroll related inquiries.
Participate in continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
Support the development and maintenance of payroll process documentation.
Ensure compliance with internal controls on payroll systems and compliance with tax and other payroll related legislation.
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- Must have a Post-Secondary Education in Finance, Business or other relevant discipline.
Must be legally eligible to work for any employer in Canada without sponsorship.
5 or more years’ experience processing full cycle payroll.
Must have proven experience as a Payroll Analyst in a large corporate environment.
Proficient in French and English (both written and spoken) is required.
Previous experience with ADP systems is preferred.
Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification is considered an asset.
