Fleet Safety and Compliance Analyst


Administers one or more elements of the Fleet Management program within the assigned area of responsibility. Assists in the resolution of issues for internal and external stakeholders. Produces required reports, tracks metrics and reports out as required. May be responsible for supporting budget planning and execution within budget limits. Supports Fleet Management projects and continuous improvement activity as necessary.

Guides and assists internal and external stakeholders with execution of the Fleet Management program within the assigned area of responsibility. Investigates issues and leads problem resolution activity to ensure stakeholder satisfaction. Acts as a contact between internal stakeholders and external service providers. Provides constructive feedback to Fleet Managers & Directors on continuous improvement opportunities. Participates as a team member when required for defined projects related to Fleet Management business processes and/or policies. Maintains required performance metrics and periodic reports as necessary. Conducts analysis within the assigned area of responsibility to evaluate Fleet Management program effectiveness and make recommendations for continuous improvement. Assists with budget planning, tracking, research and analysis. Responsible for executing the program within budget parameters. Assists in deployment and training for new or updated Fleet Management programs within the assigned area of responsibility.

Vehicle Systems Knowledge - Interprets information from users and repair facilities and demonstrates technical knowledge of multiple vehicle systems to make informed decisions regarding maintenance, repair, specification or vehicle safety.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

College, university or equivalent degree or significant relevant experience required.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.


Minimal experience required unless post secondary education requirement is not met.

The candidate selected for this role will be primarilyresponsible for:

  1. Maintaining driver qualification files for all commercial drivers in the UnitedStates across multiple business units

  2. Coaching branches to improve compliance in US Hours of Service and DriverVehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR)

  3. Supporting the Cummins DER in managing the random drug and alcohol program forCummins on an as needed basis

  4. Being involved in internal/external auditing process related to FleetCompliance

  5. Attending various team meetings, leading meetings with internal stakeholders,completing various statistical reporting projects, etc.

This role is a data driven role and requires experience withdifferent computer software systems, ability to work with multipleinternal/external databases to retrieve data, strong organization skills andhabits, and a high attention to detail. In depth knowledge of US FMCSAregulations/DOT Requirements would be considered an asset.

Work location is flexible within the US.
