PSBU Operations Line HR Director (hybrid)

Description

We are looking for a talented Operations Line HR Director for our Power Systems Business and the role could be based in Columbus, IN or Indianapolis, IN or Fridley, MN

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Partners with human resources leadership and business and functional leaders to develop and implement business unit human resources initiatives and policies. Establishes strategies in alignment with Corporate Human Resources strategies and coordinates the business or functional resources to attain the business goals.

  • Directs human resources processes for the organization and is responsible for the effectiveness of the broad range of Human Resources processes.

  • Creates Strategies, plans and directs the HR support for all operations at site level with vision, passion, and innovation, resulting in tangible contributions to Cummins success, including Organizational Development Review (ODR) for the future.

  • Maintains a deep understanding of all of Cummins businesses and growth strategies, including Manufacturing footprint work

  • Collaborates across Cummins HR teams and becomes Subject Matter Expert for How to Manage and Direct HR Strategies into plant environments.

  • Works with other Business Units HR Senior Leaders for benchmarking and ideas to better support Ops and promote synchronization when applicable for joint cross BUS HR projects.

  • Evaluates and prioritizes business projects and partners with FMs to execute them, i.e. Advancing Workforce Strategy (AWS)

  • Promotes and Drives Right Environment Initiatives in collaboration with Business Leaders, including Flex Work Arrangements in Plant Environments

  • Ensures compliance with key government legislated requirements and adherence to human resources policies and procedures in complex regions or across multiple businesses or functions.

  • Drive ISO efficiencies to be sustainable, creates strategies for proactive review for observations and non-conformances

  • Manage, Coach and Develop HR Talent in Operations

Education, Licenses, Certifications

University, or equivalent degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience required.

Experience

Significant work experience of minimum 10 years required, including leadership and budgetary experience.

  • Ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization

  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks, amazing attention to detail, and demonstrated follow-through

  • High attention to detail, ability to multitask and to adapt to a changing work environment are key to success.

  • Successful track record leading multi-year organizational change efforts through proven employee engagement

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
