Talent Acquisition Associate

Description

Supports and contributes to talent processes and initiatives across the organization to help facilitate the execution of the company’s talent strategy in support of the company’s future growth.

Supports, and may lead, the deployment of one or more elements of a defined talent management process which may include talent planning, acquisition, development and assessment; competency and skill management; or employee engagement, on boarding and retention.

Participates in continuous improvement activities for talent processes; documents processes and improvements; contributes to communication and change management efforts for improvement activities.

Produce metrics and conducts basic analysis for evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of talent management programs.

Supports work requests related to the development and administration of talent management processes.

Actively participates on project teams who design, improve and implement effective talent management processes.

Effectively manages stakeholder relationships respond courteously, accurately and in a timely fashion to talent related questions and requests.

Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

Experience

Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

  • Schedule candidate interviews by coordinating schedules with hiring managers, making travel arrangements, preparing candidate information packets, creating interview agendas, etc.

  • Manage and submit expenses for payment as it relates to the interview process and candidate travel, etc. for external candidates.

  • Create and format job descriptions in accordance with Cummins employment brand.

  • Accountable for managing life cycle of requisition through applicant tracking system (ATS) including documentation for auditing purposes.

  • Lead and support the offer management process, initiate and complete background and reference checks which may include supporting electronic consents, and communicate results to the appropriate parties.

  • Participates in continuous improvement activities for talent acquisition processes; documents processes and improvements; contributes to communication and change management efforts for improvement activities.

  • Adheres to recruiting processes, policies, tools and recruitment teams in compliance with relevant legislative and governmental regulations and in adherence with the company’s policies and procedures. Collaborates with immigration team to ensure compliance with all immigration regulations.

Knowledge/skills

  • Excellent communication (e.g. verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, have excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Stakeholders are served with a high level of skill and attention to detail.

  • Ability to build, consult, and manage stakeholder relationships to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of processes.

  • High Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with ability to navigate multiple talent acquisition tools and systems.

  • Proven experience working within the talent acquisition function preferred.

  • Experience with bargain agreements, labor relations and unions preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.

Base salary range: $54,240 - $81,360 (hourly position)

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
